Last week my composer colleagues from the Institut Jazz of the Kunstuniverstät Graz (Austria) and I had the chance to get played some of our compositions by one of the best Big Bands in Europe – the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra conducted by Ed Partyka. The composition of mine which the band recorded is called “Awakening” and is featuring the outstanding Tero Saarti on flugelhorn.
