It has been a while since I updated my homepage. Since the last update a lot of exciting things happened which I would like to inform about!

Subway Jazz Orchestra “European Composers – A Sound of a generation”

What a great honor it was to be one of the composers commissioned to compose new music for the excellent Subway Jazz Orchestra Cologne for the project “European Composers”. I am very happy that the concert was recorded and the music will be released on YouTube. Thank you very much for the invitation and to all who were involved in the project! Stay well and see you hopefully soon!

Finalist in the “Unsigned Only Music Competition” 2022

I am so proud that my composition “Conspiracy” is among the finalists of the “Unsigned Only Music Competition” 2022. Besides that a top-class jury will decide who will win the competition, there is the opportunity for everybody to vote in the “FanDemonium”-section of the competition. New project coming up “Triple H Society”

I am happy to introduce our new project “Triple H Society” My co-composers Viola Hammer and Jakob Helling and I found a new ensemble which consists of some wonderful forward-thinking musicians of the Austrian music scene. For some more information please check the project area of my homepage.

2nd prize at the “5th Karel Krautgartner Composition Contest for the Best Composition for Jazz Orchestra”

I am happy to announce that my composition “Universal Language” was awarded 2nd prize at the “5th Karel Krautgartner Composition Contest for the Best Composition for Jazz Orchestra” in Prague in October 2021.

Many thanks to the Concept Art Orchestra under the direction of Štěpánka Balcarová, who organized this event and put so much energy into rehearsing and performing the music of the finalists.

Thank you also to the head of the commission Julian Argüelles and everyone else who made it such a great experience.

Congratulations to my fellow composers Emiliano Sampaio and Daniel Hofecker for winning 1st and 3rd place!

Podium for composers of the NDR Bigband

wow, what a great experience it was to record with one of the best big bands around! Many thanks to the NDR Bigband and their chief conductor Geir Lysne for inviting me and recording some of my pieces! Many thanks to all the musicians who played so beautifully and worked through the difficult material with a great attitude, and of course kudos to everyone else being involved in the recording and organization for making it such a wonderful experience!

Great news from Los Angeles….
I am very happy to announce that one of my compositions has been awarded 3rd prize in the “Bill Conti Competition” organized by the “American Society of Music Composers and Arrangers” ASMAC.ORG. What a great honor for me! Many thanks to the judges and advisory board for considering my composition.
